Amanda M. Susko is a vision-inspired events professional with over 15 years of experience in the sports & entertainment industry. She graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in marketing, earned an MBA from Saint Francis University & has received a number of career accolades since her first full-time role in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Amanda proudly created The Vie Agency, LLC in 2023 & serves as its Founder + CEO. Her background in nonprofit management, corporate partnerships & event planning were the joint catalyst for the direction of VIE. It is this rich blend of skills that underscores VIE's mission, as well as her desire for VIE to continually elevate the causes & charitable passions of its clients through iconic events tied to the company’s trifecta.
Most recently, Amanda worked for over a decade for the Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL). With roles in both sales & community relations, Amanda managed corporate partnerships totaling $5 million+ in annual revenue plus raised $20 million+ for the club’s foundation through events such as Night of Assists - - the players' signature gala. With her stewardship, the foundation was recognized with multiple awards & was named a finalist for ESPN’s Sports Humanitarian Team of the Year in 2022.
Amanda was honored for her own contributions to the community, career success & dedication to mentorship as a top 3 finalist for Pittsburgh’s Athena Young Professional Award (2020). She has mentored over 100 interns across the sports industry + students as an Adjunct Professor in Saint Francis University’s Shields School of Business where she has taught courses in Sports Marketing & Sports Management since 2020.
Amanda is a fierce advocate for mental health - - continually striving to tackle the associated stigma both professionally & personally. In 2021, Amanda completed the Emotionally-Fit Leadership Training series by Coa, an organization funded by NBA star Kevin Love. Believing in the powerful connection between fitness & mental wellness, Amanda frequently engages in Peloton workouts & local races, embodying her commitment to well-being.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Amanda extends her influence to various organizations in Western Pennsylvania. Amanda is currently a board member for the Boys & Girls Club & closely affiliated with the Mario Lemieux Foundation. Her passions expand further through her support of local military groups, children's health organizations & social justice causes - - showcasing a deeply rooted commitment to the betterment of the community at large.
Selected for Leadership Pittsburgh’s LDI program, Amanda recently completed the 8-month development initiative built for high-performing professionals in June 2023 & continues to sit on her cohort's social committee.
In April 2024, Amanda was named to Pittsburgh's 50 Finest by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Western Pennsylvania Chapter. Her goal is to raise $40,000 by September.
A native of Johnstown, Pennsylvania with stints in Columbus & Syracuse, Amanda currently resides in the Sewickley Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
